Worthington Park. Brampton, ON

 Worthington Park

Brampton, ON

Just north of Worthington Public School on Worthington Ave.

Here's my theory with piece of suck. A developer bid on the tender for the park. The tender included 'a skateboard park' and the other park amenities. Rather than sub-contract the skatepark to a qualified firm or buy the pre-fab that's at all the other Brampton parks, they decided to do it themselves. Hence, this.

  1. I'm not even a skater and I buy into this theory. Has anyone from the city ever responded to this? I hope it can be improved.

    1. I have actually made contact with someone from the city who has partially confirmed this. I was informed that, on occasion, a contractor gets the contract for a public park. The contractor builds the park and includes a skatepark. When the property is handed back to the city, they’re (the city) is surprised to find they have a new skatepark.
