You'll never find stuff like this built today. There's a crazy quarter that gets progressively tighter with more vert 'til it becomes a wall.

A pretty standard pre-fab park. Two of the ledges end Six feet from the edge of the park. Long, low metal ledge and a street gap finish it off.

Metal Park on a fresh park with an Advanced and Junior Pump Track around the perimeter.
Still better than the old park.

ACC 2.0
Ajax is planning a replacement for the Ajax Community Centre Skatepark.
The 2022 Parks Master Plan recommends replacement of the two aging metal parks at ACC and MCC with concrete parks and a new skatepark in Magnum Opus Park as well as skate spots & dots.
An online survey will follow so they'll probably have some design concepts drawn up.
