Newcastle, ON

 Newcastle, ON

Clarington's fifth skatepark is set to be a hit. After a quick (by skatepark standards) public consultation, design and build, the skatepark is done and should officially open in early 2022.

It is proof that Skatepark Advocacy works! This sweet, poured-in-place concrete skatepark was originally going to be metal ramps but the community rallied and changed the Towns mind. Check that out HERE & HERE.

Designed and Built by Skaters.

It's Done!  The rest of the park amenities are complete. The finished skatepark has lights that users can control.

Landscaping, paths and seat have also been installed.

It looked good before. Now it looks great.
Landscaping later - The only thing unusual about the park is the 2 bench/ledges and the 'China Banks' Ledge have no metal edging.

Ledge to slappy curb.

Mini ramp leading to the bowl

I'm around 97% sure this 'A' frame pole jam is there because of me.

I brought the crew Coffee & Doughnuts one morning.
