 Churchill Meadows Community Common

A new PIP skatepark is currently being built @ 9th Line & Thomas at the (currently named) Churchill Meadows Community Centre.

This won't be confusing at all.

(EDIT - Since the last time I was there in 2013, some of the obstacles were rearranged, making the layout even worse. 2013 pano at the bottom.)

Skatable Benches are nice.

Mount Albert, ON

 Mount Albert, ON

Mount Albert Community Centre on Main St

When I found out the park was open I dropped everything and immediately headed there for a skate. This is one of the best all-round parks I've skated and it's been added to my 'Faves' list.

One of the things that makes it great is that it has the standards;

High Ledge, Low Ledge, Manny Pad, Flat Rail.

Everything required for a simple spot.

Then, it has secondary features that add to a skatepark;

Quarter Pipe, Stairs, Bank to rail.

Then come the extras that make this park really fun. Check out the pictures below.

The primary High Ledge also has a gap feature.

This additional High Ledge is embedded, China Banks style, and exits into the transition for an extra challenge.

The Runway leads to big tricks over the gap or into the elevated bank.

The Quarter features this little seat.

Option Island (as the boys from Skatosis would call it) has a ride on ledge, a bunch of beveled edges for slappy's or wallies and a raised out ledge.

Extras mean the builders care.

Again, East Gwillimbury is pulling the 'Helmets Manditory' & 'Unsupervised, Skate at own Risk'.
