Chesley, ON
Update - Chesley 2.0 - new pre-fab park & Pump loop near the same location as of spring 2025.
Here's Chesley 2.0
Here we go again. Decent layout for a modular park.
Day trip edit.
Straight up - if I wasn't done from the stupid 40mins of skating here and 3 previous skateparks and hike, I would have hauled these benches onto the park to skate them.
The concept layout is good with plenty of space to hit all the obstacles.
The issue is with where the pump track ended up. Due to the topography of the site, the pumper had to be moved towards the tennis courts and was done so with the on/off ramps right next to the 'Sofa'. This severely reduced the amount of space behind the 'Sofa' reducing the ability to hit it for wallies or boardslides. I'd done a wallie boardslide on this feature where I had enough room but couldn't do the same here.
Old slab in the background. Old slab is bigger. Old slab could have worked. *scratches head*
I say the red benches are part of the facility so skate away!
Old park is gone.
Reminiscent of the old Tottenham Skatepark, this one is thin, slick and sketchy. Take 3rd St SE to Parkside Dr and go straight until you see the skatepark.
Here's a video of the trip
