Edit of the 12 park trip.

There's a little street bank between the ball court and the skatepark.

If you have the chance, check out the Thames Valley Model Railway Club. I ended up chatting skateparks, specifically The Hoof, with a Club Member who has a family member who lives near it.

Oil Springs is the site of the first commercial oil well in North America. I learn on these skate trips too.

Same ramps as Callander?

notice the edit?:)

Corunna, ON

 Corunna, ON

Corunna 2.0

The old park was still in place on the west end of the Corunna Athletic Park in April of 2023. The new park is on the east end of the park with parking off Queen st.

Edit of the Trip.

As good as you can get with a metal park.
Pumptrack for the kids

The pumptrack has nice on/off ramps. The 'Sofa' is neat idea but this version at 8' isn't long enough and is really loud.

OLD PARK

420 Colborne St

Legends (ie: Google Earth & Street View) tell of additional ramps but now they are just a memory.

I had skipped Corunna in 2016 on another ROAD TRIP. Despite being the worst park this day, it took the most time to get a boardslide on this warped rail. Plus the ground is crap and I had to run in from the grass. At least my poutine was awesome.

I visited Corunna in May of 2022. Little did I know a new pad and park would be installed weeks later on the north east corner (off Queen st) on the same park.

Edit of the 12 park day trip. See the stupid trick that took too long.

According to another blog, there were 2 QP's made of plastic. Unknown if there is a timeline for decommission but it was there in April of 2023.

At the Maawn Doosh Guming Community Centre

1972 Virgil Ave, Sarnia

One of the best layouts for a modular park I've been to. Too bad the surface was weathered.

Edit of the day trip.

Gaps and open lift points.

Tecumseh Park Skatepark

 Tecumseh Park Skatepark

AKA - SkateJam(?)

Parking lots on Palmerston St S & Russell St S

New 2023 Park - old park and video below.

(if you know who doesn't f*** it up like Aurora)

The new Tecumseh Park Skatepark (SkateJam 2.0) has an ok plaza style layout and bowl. This park is concrete but done by the same team that built Strathroy. There is better concrete work but it still falls short.

Looks really nice until you check out the detail work.

Take a little tour.

Edit of the Day

Decent Plaza layout.
Ok looking amoeba bowl.

Lots of rails and ledges.

This curved ledge's surface is unfinished. Why?

The Bowl looks pretty good.

There's actually reveal/bonk on the coping but many of the QP's & banks are lumpy.

There's some serious issues with the concrete in this spot of the bowl. It's already deteriorating and seeping.

The steps go from wide to narrow and the rail is steep.

Random quarters seem to be a signature of CRC, also seen in Tyendinaga.

I love how the peak of the roof top bank is rounded and not in-line with the peak of the 'A-frame' ledge.

The banks here are also curved, making it difficult to time your pop.

Here's how it looked the previous year. Overall, a net increase in quality.
