Angus, ON

Angus, ON
Angus Recreation Centre
8529 County Rd 10.
New Park & Pump Track is in front of the Rec Centre
Not a bad layout (for a 2000's era park).

At least there's some obstacles that I haven't seen a lot like this bank to ledge.

Old Park (that fenced in spot in the background) is gone.

There are spots there the transition plate has a considerable gap that interferes with skateboard wheels.

All over the park, the 'coping' sits well below the deck. There are metal shavings from trucks and scooter decks everywhere.

Looks like some great basics, until...

...you notice the coping is in several sections &...

...sits well below the deck.

Hopefully, this area has a use.

Whereas this section in more isolated.

So the slab was poured, and the sidewalk was already there.....and no one thought to connect the two?

I 💚 stupid rules!

I'm not sure what's happening here.  Looks like some repainting for some reason.

Pump, turn, repeat. Thornton got the same type of modular pumper but with a more interesting layout.

Decomissioned.

Recently updated with ramps from American Ramp Company including some of their 'Signature OP's'
I wasn't impressed. There seemed to be 2 old quarters and an old bank that all had loose transition plates. The new centre feature is an 'A' frame with rail next to a bank-flat-stairs. There's a flatbar between the 2 features nut none in the rest of the park. The stairs have a steep rail.
I'm not sure why their called OP's. Perhaps ARC doesn't know the word is obstacle with a 'B'. I didn't like the features. I found the 'Hourglass' too tall and the 'Dozer' too slick. Maybe I was tired from being 9 parks deep by that point in the day, but maybe I'm right. Better than the park I didn't find in Stayner, I suppose.

Some of the ramps look like they were fabricated on site while others were pre-fab.

This bank to bank hip was nuts.
