Ilderton, ON

Ilderton, ON
Just outside of London is an incredibly flowy concrete park. Ilderton replaced their old modular park with a smooth flow spot by New Line. No rails, stairs or ledges here. Just quarters, rollers, gaps and extensions. Located at Heritage Park next to the splash pad.
Park #337
Kurt from the Dirty Jags Tour floats an Ollie by some scooter kid.
Before you ask "why no ledges etc?" It is apparently what the local users wanted.

Hmm. Looks a lot like the renderings for Bowness skate park in Calgary.

Granton, ON

Granton, ON
In the small town of Granton sits an efficient new park that is a bunch of fun. The bank to curb is something special and the quarter pipe turn arounds are anything but standard.
By the baseball diamond at Queen st & High St. Granton only has about a dozen roads so follow the signs for Centennial Park.
Park #336.

All-Wheels Skatepark

All-Wheels Skatepark
Stratford, ON
Stratford's new park is great and they're already starting on phase 2.
Shakespeare Park @ Downie st and Shakespeare st.

Beveled EVERYTHING for more slappys!
Gnorman approves of the seating provided by the rotary club.

One of the greatest ideas I've seen recently. A solar power charging station/bench with USB hubs.

2022 Visit.
The Skatepark was expanded with a few new features, a pumptrack added and a mini bike path for groms to learn on.

Norm Jary Skatepath

Norm Jary Skatepath
Guelph, ON
Nestled in Norm Jary Park (22 Shelldale Cres), under the shade of some nice trees by the tennis courts is Norm Jary Skatepath. It is an interesting and fun little spot featuring some pre-fabricated concrete ledges, 2 benches and a flat bar made by a local studio(maybe?) and some reclaimed plaza stone.
Park #334.

These plaza blocks cost $1500 on ebay.

The quarter is pretty bad.

Take the tour.

Felt great!

Half Evil in Burlington

Half Evil in Burlington
I took a day trip to Burlington to hit up Nicklebrook Brewery for some rootbeer, Check out the updates to Maple Skatepark and hit 2 bad parks and a mystery park. The Mystery ended up being George Savage Skate Spot and it's great.
We skipped one of the bad parks and skated Maple Ditch instead.

DesJardines Skate Spot
Two ledges, OK. Long curved rail, whatever. Jersey Barrier Q-pipe with no transition plate. Why???????

It looks like the bolt ends have been ground off to make the thing...safer?
Park 331.

A couple of days later, after a night shift, I went back to Burlington to check out Sheldon Skate Spot.
Well, aside from being very rough and covered in seagull poop this park was great! Kidding. The bench is hollow and so loud I though I'd wake the neighbourhood so I tried to skate the rail. The rainbow rail was too sticky to slappy. I wasn't about to go back to my car for wax so I hippy jumped the thing and went home.
Park (if you can call it that) 333. Only half evil.
