Beasley 2018 update

Beasley Skatepark in Hamilton got an update in 2018. The old Beasley Bowl was reworked and the old quarter remained but ~80% of the park is new. I'm calling this my 381st skatepark!
There is a sweet mini-ramp, a china banks ledge, some really long metal curbs and a nice 'bank to ledges' section.

UPDATE- The wood chips were removed with plans to lay sod once the weather cools enough. Success!
One of the Greensborough Locals has started a petition to tidy up the landscaping around the bowl. The wood chips frequently end up on the park and cause issues for the skaters.

Stanley Greene Park, Toronto, ON

Stanley Greene Park
 Toronto, ON
It's open
I had the pleasure of sitting down with the Park developer, New Line Skateparks & members of the Toronto Skateboard Committee a few years back to design a beginner level park.
Stans recently got some murals from StART (Street Art Toronto). They used the right paint, everything's still skatable. More Shots at the end of the post.

Alton Pump Track

Alton Pump Track
Caledon has expanded their Action Sports Facilities with a nice pump track in the Village of Alton.
The asphalt track is pretty smooth and weaves through the woods and a mini track is also on site.
The original concept included a small concrete bmx park. This section was cancelled and the track layout is a bit different from the original design. However, a separate skate spot was built in 2021.

Under construction.

The Slab DIY

The Slab DIY
Hit The Slab, a DIY in Whitby, yesterday making it my 380th skatepark. Here’s the rules of a DIY. If you build it, you can share the location. Otherwise, keep the location secret. Keep it clean and don’t draw negative attention to the spot. If construction is happening, grab a shovel and help.
2026 update- The OG builders have moved on but I'm keeping an eye on the spot.  If it's at risk, I have permission to salvage the features.

DIY's are organic and keep evolving.
This one sure has.
