Wasaga Beach, ON

Wasaga Beach, ON
Recently updated with ramps from American Ramp Company including some of their 'Signature OP's'
I wasn't impressed. There seemed to be 2 old quarters and an old bank that all had loose transition plates. The new centre feature is an 'A' frame with rail next to a bank-flat-stairs. There's a flatbar between the 2 features nut none in the rest of the park. The stairs have a steep rail.
I'm not sure why their called OP's. Perhaps ARC doesn't know the word is obstacle with a 'B'. I didn't like the features. I found the 'Hourglass' too tall and the 'Dozer' too slick. Maybe I was tired from being 9 parks deep by that point in the day, but maybe I'm right. Better than the park I didn't find in Stayner, I suppose.

Some of the ramps look like they were fabricated on site while others were pre-fab.

This bank to bank hip was nuts.

I did.
I had to.

Gellert Community Skatepark

Gellert Community Skatepark
Georgetown, ON
10241 8 Line.

I Finally skated Gellert skatepark in Georgetown, ON. My 350th skatepark! A really fun design by @newlineskateparks with a 3 lobe pool next to a mini bowl with extension. Pier 7 style ledge, banks, small Q, Scoop step-up, long 5 set and a park long slappy curb. I’m also stoked to announce that New Line is using my photos on their updated website. Check it out at at newlineskateparks.com. Woo Hoo! I’ve back-doored my way into the skatepark industry. Thanks for the swag, I’ll make you proud.

This park used to be all wood (2 different builds) but after the lot was nicely re-paved, it became a semi-decent modular park.

Pickering Skatepark Shovel Out

Pickering Skatepark Shovel Out
On March 15 The Pickering Skateparks Alliance organized a shovel out of the Pickering Skatepark.
With Coffee and Doughnuts generously supplied by the Pickering West Shore Community Association, I began shoveling alone but others started filtering in. In 2 hours, the 6 of us had cleared most of the park. Some spots had up to 6 inches of ice. We joked that "When we have a bowl worth clearing out, We'll do it!"
